Oh, let me ponder this... "What's unethical about keeping money to

which you are not entitled?" Gee, that is a tough one.

Based on what formula? IF someone writes you a check and then says I paid you too much, how do you know?

"Microsoft wants the money back within two weeks. The incentive? An adjusted employee tax statement from Microsoft. Otherwise, you're liable for the income tax on the extra cash."

I'll pay the extra income tax, thanks!

According to your logic: if you can get away with it, it is.

-----------------------------

By the way, a little-known fact: Most employment law exempts small

companies, most often defined as fewer than 100 f.t.e. employees. You

want to discriminate against the diametrically-disadvantaged? Go

ahead! You want to fire everyone 1 week before they are vested in

your retirement plan? Sure, why not?

LOL...I've NEVER had a job lay me off and give me severance. All those

years in PA and not one employer did that, afaik. I personally got laid

off once and they didn't give me anything except unemployment. That was

what they considered severance I guess. Now here at Sylvan, this

company took very good care of their workers who got laid off last year.

Lots of class and professionalism at Sylvan. I have lots of respect

for them. Those PA companies? NFW.
