14:29:52 claudiub dansmith: hm, it seems that there is a small difference between libvirt and hyper-v, regarding device_metadata. libvirt still touches the device_metadata like so: instance.device_metadata = self._build_device_metadata(context, instance) while in hyper-v, we only touch it if we actually have metadata to save: if metadata: instance.device_metadata = objects.InstanceDeviceMetadata(devices=metadata)
