21:21:13 mriedem which is not surprising if the nova.conf on your compute node can't talk to placement yet

21:53:38 mriedem if we deprecate that from nova, then to get security groups for an instance, you have to find all ports for the instance by port.device_id, and then from the ports build the list of security group uuids
