yeah - they used 16 of these to power the original large hadron
collider, which is why we all flipped into a parallel reality.

That's a step in the right direction. If you could charge an electric car
in a few minutes, that's one of the major hurdles out of the way to
large-scale public acceptance. Now, tackle the limited range.

You ever arc a capacitor? I have seen bench techs fly backward 5+feet
doing monitor repairs on old tube monitors. Not sure I want that
capability of ZAP just in front of my feet or in my trunk.

Personal experience. I discharged a 20K capacitor with a screw driver in a
graphics monitor a long time ago, trying to make an adjustment on a pot.
Nearly broke my elbow when my arm straightened out so suddenly.

Back in high school I had a neighbor that was a field tech for
Burroughs... people would be really nosy with all the tools and gizmos
he had laid out on the desk and he got tired of them messing with
things when he stepped away...
He told me that he resorted to first day at a place charging up some
big shiny capacitor and left it sitting in plain sight when he went
off to lunch... said it never failed that it was discharged when he
got back, but no one messed with his stuff the rest of the time he was
there...

I did the same thing when I was in college but in my case it went across my
back. All I remember is that I thought someone had come up behind me and
wacked me with a baseball bat as hard as they could. It was awful.
However, I think the voltages were pretty high not like in this video which
is 13-15 volts.
