Hi Michael,
Looks like they market themselves, eh? The over-price tag is the only
selling point, it is just a camper! "Look at me, I have $3 mil I don't
even really need!"
There are a few actual workers, true enough. But it is a small force
that makes them, sort of like boats but on a truck frame and engine
rather than a hull. We had one in my old neighborhood - maybe 5 people.
They were there for 20 years, though.
They buy the truck frames all ready to go and just drop the bodies on, a
few more sales for Ford or GM.
Where I live now they used to build boats for richies. Boats seem to be
more labor intensive, I guess the work building the hull. When the
crunch hit the boat richies stopped buying and the places all closed.
46,000 out of work in the area.
It would be like Solyndra, all the money would go to a few people. $16
million each per jobs that pay a mere $60K - if even that.

But think how many people would be put to work. You are much too
short-sighted.

Pete,
You are a liberal, socialist. Always talking about evil liberals, etc. but
when push comes to shove you always rail against wealth just like a liberal.

Hi Nicholas,
You noticed!
Actually, I am mostly liberal on economic issues. National Defense,
Crime, Marriage, Abortion, Guns, Environment - I am conservative.
Comes from growing up middle class Catholic.
you always rail against wealth just like a liberal.
Wealth is OK if it is just wealth. But this what we are seeing nowadays
is excessive. Don't you think so? I mean, really . . .
I mean if someone has $100 million that might be OK, if he/she isn't an
asshole about it, but $100 million is pocket change to today's 1%. Or so
it seems.
And how the money is 'earned"! When I was a kid I had a "good" job, or
so I thought. One day I came to the realization that I was expected to
outright lie for "the cause". I wasn't a good fit for that!
Back in those days I drove a Cadillac, now I can't afford a Ford. But I
can speak my mind no matter where the chips fall, and that is important,
too. That and the caddy was a piece of shit . . .
