Hi Michael,
Looks like they market themselves, eh? The over-price tag is the only
selling point, it is just a camper! "Look at me, I have $3 mil I don't
even really need!"
There are a few actual workers, true enough. But it is a small force
that makes them, sort of like boats but on a truck frame and engine
rather than a hull. We had one in my old neighborhood - maybe 5 people.
They were there for 20 years, though.
They buy the truck frames all ready to go and just drop the bodies on, a
few more sales for Ford or GM.
Where I live now they used to build boats for richies. Boats seem to be
more labor intensive, I guess the work building the hull. When the
crunch hit the boat richies stopped buying and the places all closed.
46,000 out of work in the area.
It would be like Solyndra, all the money would go to a few people. $16
million each per jobs that pay a mere $60K - if even that.
