I have been trying to download the runtime (SP2) utility that Woody had =
made available through his prolib.de ftp site, but I can't connect any =
more.
Did they discontinue this service or changed the address?
TIA

It seems several of the ProLib domains are timing out. I don't think it is
the service, it is the entire Web server. I have not heard anything about
them discontinuing.

Hola Rafael
Se quieres puedo enviarte a tu email.
El ficheiro tiene 13 mega mas o menos.
Sorry, I understand much better then I write.
E.
Muito obrigado Eurico
I understand the written portuguese very well but can't write it at all, I'm
afraid. Mind you, I once translated a portuguese article on VFP for a friend
of mine who didn't have a clue.
However, thank you for your offer. I just found an old backup CD with the
file I need, which I had once downloaded but never used.
BTW, do you know whether, by installing service pack 2 on top of SP1 all
will run well, or should I uninstall VFP9 altogether and reinstall it with
SP2 directly?
Best regards
Rafael

I just found an old backup CD with the file, which I had downloaded some
time ago, but never used (I still never installed SP2). Thank you anyways.
Questions:
a) If I install SP2 on top of SP1, will I screw up anything or should I just
uninstall VFP and reinstall it with SP2 directly?
b) a colleague of mine is helping me with a system, she has SP2 installed
and I am still on SP1. Will there be any problems when her modules and mine
merge?

According to things I've read, best practice is to uninstall VFP, reinstall=
the base product and then apply SP2 and the latest hotfix. The hotfix requ=
ires you to manually place files in the appropriate spots.

Rafael,
Rick Schummer blogged about SP1 & SP2 and having both on the same PC at:
http://rickschummer.com/blog/2008_03_01_archive.html
...and Richard is correct, you shouldn't update SP1 to SP2 but install the
base product then apply SP2. There are certain files that are NOT updated to
the correct revision number due to oversights in the rolling of the SP2
update.

Oi Rafa
I installed on top, then revisited the files to check the date.
In one computer I did as it should be, but I didn't notice any difference
using the product.
Tiao, E.
Yes, that is what I thought.
Thank you all
