16:25:17 dtroyer efried: +1, thanks!
16:25:43 efried thank you
16:41:28 smcginnis https://review.opendev.org/#/c/701306/ is happy now. Would be nice to get that through to unbreak stable/stein.
17:06:19 KeithMnemonic smcginnis do you think we will need a cherry-pick or something close to also fix stable/rocky?
17:06:51 smcginnis KeithMnemonic: I haven't looked at that branch yet, but my suspicion is that the answer will be yes.
17:07:34 KeithMnemonic ok thanks
17:08:00 KeithMnemonic i am getting similar type errors on https://review.opendev.org/701066 but we can wait until stein is fixed
17:09:44 smcginnis Yeah, that's looking like it has at least one of the same issues that had to be fixed in stein.
18:36:20 powerje Is it possible to use auth v1.0 with fog-openstack? It seems my openstack provider doesn't support 2.0 or 3.0 (which seems a bit suspect)
19:31:23 smcginnis powerje: Based on their wording in the keystone bullet item here - https://github.com/fog/fog-openstack#initial-setup - my guess would be no.
19:31:43 smcginnis That does seem suspect though. I don't remember specifics, but I thought v1 went away a long time ago.
19:58:13 mordred powerje, smcginnis: yeah - 1.0 is *very* long dead
19:58:43 smcginnis At least several years ago, right?
19:59:02 mordred yeah. we don't support v1 in keystoneauth or sdk either
19:59:09 mordred and we support everything
19:59:38 powerje smcginnis/mordred thanks! I've opened a ticket with my provider to see if they support auth 2 or 3
20:00:03 smcginnis I would guess something else is going on here. I would be very, very surprised if there is a cloud out there that is running something old enough to only support v1 auth.
20:00:21 smcginnis If they are...
20:00:30 powerje I hope I'm just doing something wrong
20:00:45 powerje If they are then yeah I'm very concerned about the data my group is storing there
20:00:52 smcginnis I haven't used that particular one myself, so not sure what you could try to debug it.
20:01:22 powerje No worries, I should hear back from them within a day. Thanks for giving me your insight
20:01:30 smcginnis Good luck!

14:14:40 gtema dtantsur, mordred, would love to have your thoughts for https://review.opendev.org/#/c/700219/ I wanted to keep the change small (again failed, sorry)
14:15:05 gtema so further improvements might go into the follow-up
14:15:12 dtantsur 500 LoC, yeah :)
14:15:21 dtantsur Putting on my list, need to fix a bug first
14:15:22 gtema just 500
14:15:46 gtema compared to my other stuff it is a tiny change :D
14:19:07 dtantsur indeed :D
14:20:08 gtema yeah, feel myself sometimes random-code-trash-generator

16:55:43 johnsom efried Thanks for the recheck, I think we are good to go.
16:56:36 johnsom Any OSC cores, it would be great if we can get some reviews on the last part of the tags migration: https://review.opendev.org/662864
16:56:38 efried cool, I'll go review the actual patch soon.
16:58:07 gundalow ah I was in another meeting, sorry
16:58:11 johnsom I do need to use that in Ussuri to finish our tags story in Octavia. Most of the API work has been done, next step is using that for the CLI tags support.
16:58:19 gundalow Any Q's for me, I'll look back through the logs
17:05:21 gundalow oh, appears not, short meeting. I'll review PR, thanks

19:09:59 smcginnis stable/stein python-openstack client patch that will unbreak some gate blockers if any cores have time - https://review.opendev.org/#/c/701306/
19:14:28 efried mordred: this one's a trivial refactor to use some methods that were moved from p-osc to osc-lib, think you can hit it quick? https://review.opendev.org/#/c/662864/
19:40:27 mordred efried: done!

20:11:02 KeithMnemonic1 smcginnis: is this all you are waiting on to get stable/stein working now? https://review.opendev.org/#/c/701306/
20:16:26 efried thanks mordred!
20:17:11 smcginnis KeithMnemonic1: Yeah, I believe so. That should fix the known breakages so far I think.
20:18:27 mordred smcginnis: lgtm - I don't have any +2 ability for stable branches - but left a +1
20:19:25 smcginnis Looks like Dean and Steve are the only python-openstackclient-stable-maint.
20:20:13 smcginnis That helps at least having the +1. If we can't get anyone else from stable-maint-core to review, I suppose I can self approve if we have to do that. I'd rather not, but if we do, I would at least feel more comfortable with unstable +1's. ;)
20:24:48 efried oo, oo, I'm unstable!
20:50:27 KeithMnemonic1 smcginnis: can we wait a few days and if no reply move forward with that?
20:55:28 smcginnis KeithMnemonic1: Yeah, I guess so. I know that's holding up some other things.
