The index may look valid.

For example, if you open the table with an alias, and create the index using

the alias as part of the field name, when you open the table again, you had

darn well better use the same alias.

ie, use mytable alias detail

index on detail.ordamt

use mytable

will blow an error... so will the following, I think:

use mytable

index on mytable.ordamt

use mytable alias detail

Kinda hard to check. The index isn't corrupt per se.
