You don't indicate how you are trying to map the share. I usually use the command prompt to map drives instead of the Windows GUI.
What does a net use command show you? If it shows a connection to the W drive you can run
net use /d w:
and then attempt to remap the drive with
net use w: \\myserver\share.
If it shows another mapping to the server (i.e. a different share) is active you should be able to reconnect to the share without passing any creds as shown in the above command.

Subject: [NF] Network Issues Suddenly Showing Up
Today I am not able to access my SBS2003 from my computer (Windows 8).
I have always been logged onto the server and my workstation with the same ID. This is what I got:
An error occurred while reconnecting W: to \\myserver\share
Microsoft Windows Network: Multiple connections to a server or shared
resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not
allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared
resource and try again.
I can access the server from my wife's computer where she uses her own login.
Is this new as of this week?
If it is all the little networks all over the world that do the same thing I do are going to wake up to extra work this morning.
