I've used the PuTTY suite of tools with FoxPro as part of a remote backup

scheme. If you want to transfer files using a GUI rather than a

command-line/terminal tool, check out WinSCP3.

PuTTY: http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/

WinSCP3: http://winscp.net/eng/index.php

It's worth a little research to understand how SCP and SSH work, public

keys and private keys and all that stuff. For one of our vertical apps, we

drop a Linux box into the client's network, and have secure shell access

into that box, and from there, access to their network, unlimited VNC to

their desktop screens, ability to do secure file transfers, without concern

for MS' incompatible upgrades or licensing schemes.
