I have repaired 4 or 5 Windows 7 systems now using combofix with no problems as long as you download the update as Eurico said.

Warning! Combofix is very dangerous and should not be used routinely. You must make an image of your hard drive before proceeding in case something goes wrong. I use Acronis to make drive images. It is an excellent and reliable product.
Combofix only works on Windows XP. I haven't found any upgrades to work with Vista or Windows 7.

ComboFix worked smoothly and quarantine some .dat and .vir files.
I think that hotmail+messenger were hacked, because several of my
friends had the same problem.
You know age is a bitch, I deleted the All Users folder to the
Recycle Bin. Best part of my day restoring it.
