We have quite a few VFP9 SP2 systems running on Win7 now with no problems. We did not make one change in our program to

accomodate Win7 vs XP pro. Vista is crap, but so far, Win7 seems to be ok. In fact, we are now telling people that Win7

works ok, the only thing we suggest is a minimum of 4gb memory. I admit we are really gun-shy after having to deal with

VistaCrap - easily the worst OS since ME if you can even call it a OS. I guess M$ shelled out a few dollars to do some

testing before they threw Win7 at the public. Nice, for a change.

Can you give us more info, i.e. where exactly he gets this error? I have distributed VFP9 apps on Windows 7 64 bits and

they run without problems, so it must be something else, not the VFP's exe.

Subject: VFP on 64 bit

I have a client who has transferred one of my systems to 64 bit Windows 7 It runs fine on my own Windows 7 laptop He

gets a message that says "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check

your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64 bit) version of the program, and

then contact the software publisher."

Is there something I can do or advise my client?
