Many years ago there was a version of Fox for Unix - circa the
Foxbase+/FoxPro for DOS. But, that died many years ago (as I don't think
there was EVER a Unix version of VFP).=20
I'm no expert on Linux, but, since VFP is tied to Windows environments -
I suspect you may have to have some kind of Windows emulator running on
Linux to run your VFP app. Although, again - I am no Linux expert - but,
just taking a guess at the situation!

Subject: vfp, windows server 2003 and linux
One of my clients has the following LAN configuration in his company:
1 Windows 2003 Server, housing my VFP9 application
X number of Windows XP machines, which access the above application from
an icon on their desktops
1 new Linux machine
Question:
is it possible to access the application on the WK2003 server from the
Linux machine, as an icon, similar to what today is happening with the
XP machines?
Please reply taking the following into consideration:
technical feasibility, pros and cons
licensing issues
TIA
