Good Morning Kent:
I knew it had to be something like that. All the ISPs are clamping down on =
relaying in an effort to cut down on spam originating from their IP range r=
esulting in spamhaus (et. al.) blacklistings and are requiring credentials =
to send.
The key to me was when you said it worked 2 days ago and is now not working=
so the ISP changed 'something'.
On our scouting computers I have email set up using Thunderbird with multip=
le accounts. They use one account to get our email and reply back through t=
heir ISP when they are home and are using their DSL/Cable modems and our em=
ail system when they travel and have a hotel provided POP or when they dial=
in (yes...we use dial up connections when there is no broadband connection=
available...I wrote the interface to switch between to the 2 connections).
Glad your issue is solved.
Regards,
Jack Skelley

Subject: RE: [NF] Can't send email with Outlook - Solved
Hello Jack,
I solved the problem. My ISP won't admit it but they changed the way my
email account settings have to be set. I had to change to SSL and put in my
email address and password.
Thanks for your help,
Kent
