I think that would be the root cause. If you're just getting started

with Linux, then keep it simple and do it one step at a time. Installing

from CDs and getting a single stand-alone box working is the first step.

We forget that we've got years and year of experience with Windows, and

Linux' way of doing things is different, and it takes some getting used to.

Small steps first, and get them right.... Once you're comfortable with

the standalone box,then it's time for an internet/network connectin.

Then servers... then.... /s/
