I don't agree (I don't "hate" your viewpoint, but I just disagree).

When the discussion is ABOUT X, and instead of responding to a specific

point about X, the responder laments that he'd rather be talking about

Y, that is a distraction from the point about X that was just made.

Perhaps I didn't state it in sufficiently abstract terms.

I see it that way too. Note I posted an article moments ago that, among

other things, debunks one of the Swift Vets--and I even came out and

said they guy -- Al Frank -- is, based on my current knowledge of his

situation, pond scum.

I'm not sure exactly what you need to see. I've posted all manner of

items and analysis that go right to the heart of the matter. I have a

strong viewpoint on the matter that (so far) is I think based on fact.

I throw in my own interpretation, but not without evidence. Now, whether

the persons who disagree with me see the evidence, or agree to its

merit, is another issue. I keep waiting for responses to certain things

that I think fairly strongly "close" the matter... but instead I hear

whines and moans about how we aren't talking about "the issues" and I

think that's disingenuous.

I contribute to all kinds of posts. I'm a bit hotter at the moment on

the swift vet thing, but I do offer opinions and analysis on lots of

issues.
