You will want to check out the Linux Document Project (tldp.org), as they

have LOTS of How-Tos, etc. For the man not afraid of the character-based

prompt, there are manuals on everything in Linux, albeit not quite as

friendly. Just type 'man xxx', where xxx is what you want to find out

about. Changing permissions on files and directories, you need a command

called 'chmod', so open that terminal window and fire in 'man chmod', and

read away. The adventure is on! Sleep?!? Who can sleep? ;-)

problem you had. I thought about it for a moment, logged back in as root,

and all was fine. Obviously, it's a permissions issue, but beats me where
