IMAP via VFP

Author: Richard Kaye

I've been using Westwind libraries for SMTP for years. Now I've had a client ask me if I can end email via IMAP instead of SMTP. Starting my research now and thought I would toss it out here to the collective wisdom.

TIA

And my research is telling me this is a silly request because IMAP is for receiving mail, not sending. But please, pile on...

And my research that led me to the nullification of my original question was a white paper from some guy named Ted Roche.

But, of course, the opportunity for Ted to post a reply saying "MAPI Bad, SMTP Good" ((c) (r) Ted Roche 1989-2018) is priceless...

Yes, but "Four legs good, two legs bad." has better rhythm.
