I noticed that also Paul.

Note: I think Mike auto deletes anything with [OT] in the topic, so he may

not have gotten your question.

Why does the "From:" say 'profox-bounces'? In my email client,

profox-bounces is the return path but not the from... ?

He's probably using some lame email client that can't distinguish

between Return-Path: and From: headers. ;-)

No, it's just that your ISP seems to have recently begun blocking my

server, resulting in the bounces. This is getting more and more common;

ISPs now feel that any mail server on a dynamic IP address (like me)

has to be a spammer.

If anyone else sees a drop in traffic flow, please send me an email

off-list, and I'll look into the SMTP logs. I can re-route domains

through my ISP, making it appear as though the mail is coming from a

fixed IP address.

Blocking Spam with profox-bounces (at) leafe D.OT com

Using a filter to remove headers with:

profox-bounces (at) leafe D.OT com

Blocks both Spam and legitimate messaages.

Is there a better way to use ProFox's headers to block Spam?

Bounces...

Hi Ed,

Early this morning, Network Solutions incorrectly changed my mail server

that would probable bounce emails. I sure that some emails from ProFox and

ProLinux was probably bounced due to the volume. If it happened, please

resume those email feeds to me, as they have it fixed now, and sorry for any

inconvience.

Thanks,

Stanley
