I managed to temporarily blow out my SET HELP and needed to review the ADIR topic. Rather than restart my environment and stop my flow I popped up the HG. Not only did I find the info I needed, I also found a tip about a behavior change in the ADIR function starting with VFP 6(!). You can learn something new (old) every day, even from such a hoary source as the HG. :)
Take another bow, Tamar, Ted, Doug & Della with Steven Black. :)

HG = The Hacker's Guide(TM) to Visual Foxpro 7, Kurt. :-)
OK. Here's a link to a place where you can order your very own copy:

Thank you, Richard, for the kind words. HackFox was my lifework
masterpiece (especially the CHM!), so it's good to know its usefulness
continues (we use it almost every day in the office here, too!).
Unfortunately, due to some server issues, HW is no longer taking
orders directly. You should still be able to find it through an online
bookstore, though.

I have to admit I haven't heard from Whil in a while but then again his target market is probably about the size of the active Profox list. And we should all already own our own copies of the HG, right? :-) Both versions...

I knew that HG meant Hacker's Guide - and I knew the guide was VFP related. I believe one of my team mates has the guide on their desk. Although, before I remembered that it was a book on their desk - I thought it might have been a website. That's why I suggested a URL. But, alas - I sit corrected - as it's a book. Also - I meant the link more so for Really New members of our forum here - like the 2 gentleman that recently joined the fold...

By the way - if you don't have the VFP help file on your PC - I believe there is Still a Webpage hosted by M$ that works exactly like the VFP online help doc. Well, at least it was online a while ago when I checked - although I haven't searched and used that link for a while now. Just thought I would let people know...

The current version of the VFP 9 Help is a VFPX project and is now maintained by the community. Here's a link so Kurt doesn't yell at me again... ;-)

Excuuuuuuuse meeee! :-)
Gosh - RK - you must have me mistaken for Mr. Tormey - who types most of his replies/posts here in Caps. I think he's the one that's always yelling!
But - hey - I love the humor here - and that's why I enjoy hanging out here!!!
Oh - and, Ur right - I didn't know about the link you gave below. And, for the Halibut - I did a search - and I found the VFP help on M$ website - which is the online version I have used the in past. So - RK - here's the link - so you don't yell back at me:

I never yell. I get quieter... ;-)
I don't think Bill's keyboard came with lower case ASCII characters...
There's a lot of very useful stuff at the VFPx site for the active VFP developer.
