A company I am working with in Yuma, Arizona is searching for a full time SQL programmer to implement a data warehouse. They posted the job on Monster.com (http://jobview.monster.com/SQL-Database-Programmer-Job-Yuma-AZ-135943065.aspx ) and only got a few responses.
Do you know of anyone who may be interested?
Do you belong to a user's group or online group that may have prospects?
I am not looking to profit from this, only to help my customer.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

FYI - this is a forum U posted and it IS the Actual group of developers in this online group. Many here work in other tech - like SQL - even though I personally do not.

Maybe they should offer 20% more on the salary which would be more in line with the type of person their requirements say they want. :)

Paul - since you wrote that - I decided to look at the actual job on Monster. Some of it I found kinda funny. Like...
"Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines."
Does this mean the person may be required to do Filing or Sending Faxes - like an office assistant? Hmmm...
And..
"Physical Demands
This position is considered a sedentary position. The essential physical demands of this position are sitting, standing, bending, pulling, and lifting-no more than 30 pounds unassisted, squatting, walking, repetitive motion tasks."
Some of THAT Description was just TOO Funny. Am surprised it didn't say that Deep Knee Bends may be Required!
:-)

Why not? If you need to send a fax, it is helpful if you can
do it yourself. If you work on anything of complexity, it is useful
to be able to file and use files.

If someone can not handle these, then that person would not be
suited for the position.

They obviously require someone to do all the "heavy lifting" sorting out the data! ;-)

Some employers have been hammered in court cases so if some of
them are very careful, who can blame them?

But it IS a warehouse application so may involve lifting - they have to
