Has anyone done a VFP 9 program on a Windows 7 pad?
The exe and the data (small dataset) will reside on the pad.
Any suggestions? Cautions?

Wes,
What device are you talking about?
Do you have a link to it?
As for Windows 8 tablets. There have been two flavors.
Windows 8 RT and Windows 8.
The Windows 8 RT doesn't have a desktop. If this device you are talking
about has a desktop and notepad that opens in a window, yes. Otherwise, you
need to look for a new device.

I've done one for a windows surface pro running win 8.1. Other than making
everything bigger so you can see it, runs fine.

Windows RT has a desktop. The difference is in processors used and the
actual OS. RT does not support standard executables and thus necessitates
a different programming methodology for apps to run on them.

No problem on 8.1 tablet. The only thing is that you really need to redesign any interfaces that use standard top of form drop down menu's as they are VERY difficult to select with a finger press or swipe because they end up so small. Apart from that, everything works as expected. Just don't expect desktop speeds though!!

The other issue I have seen - is that many screens end up being Small on
the Tablet - and making them Full Screen on the Tablet leaves them
having Small Fonts. And - that's a Critical issue for the app to be
actually Useable on the Tablets! Based upon feedback here in the Group -
I ended up using that MQResizer thing - on an App I worked on - building
it into ALL the screens - and that for the most part solved the problem!
So - Wes - if you need any assistance with that - I would be Happy to
help you out.
You can e-mail me directly at: vrfx AT optonline DOT net
Thanks,
Kurt

Like Tracy and others - I was also curious - figuring that it was a
mistake - that Wes must be referring to a Win8 Tablet.
But - nope - Wes said his client bought a Win7. So - I got really
curious - and did a search on Amazon - and turned up a WHOLE Bunch:
