Can anyone recommend an audio transcription package? I have the opportunity
to publish a number of interviews I'm going to do on my next-to-fox
favorite subject: photography ... and I don't relish transcribing by hand
the statements of those who will never pronounce for the software as many
voice recognition programs have you do.

If this is a one time transcription, I wonder if there is a service that
might be able to do the transcription for you? It might be time/cost
effective.

Kevin - I wanted to also follow this thread - since I know Lew personally -
but, also because I had a direct interest in this Topic!
I thought your idea sounded interesting - so - I Google'd it - and came up
with this:
This looks promising - and there are also interesting looking options as
Paid Ads on top of the search!
So - Lew - balls in your court. You find something good - DEFINITELY Report
back your findings - as I am CURIOUS - and I have several things I could
possibly use it for!
:-)

I'm conducting, transcribing & writing them up gratis ... for vanity
brownie points, personal recognition and vanity ... ie it's go to be
*very*reasonable.

Late to the conversation and rather brain dead, so bear with...
Are you saying you will have audio recordings that you then want
transcribed into text, yes?
Some of our doctors using something called Express Scribe and it works very
well. I don't think it was too spendy either...
