There's a new free version of Courier out, for those of use who will

happily spend ages dicking around with their IDE font rather than

working.

A favorite hobby, polishing up the terminal interface! I spend a lot of

time staring at a terminal, and the eyes wear out faster than they used to.

Solorized color scheme and a good font are essential!

I saw the Courier Prime. I was a big fan of Courier when doing

presentations: "Use any font you want, as long as it's Courier New 12 point

bold" was a thumbrule. Projection technology has improved markedly, but you

still need a sharp font to be seen from the back of the room. I think

Courier Prime's a good possibility.

A cohort was all excited when he saw this, but then he said he saw the

"y" symbol and it was a deal breaker for him...

Whatever...

You're right, the 'y' is a bit quirky.

My main terminal font is Ubuntu 13 Bold, using a dark Solarized (256-color)

palette, and ViM's native syntax-coloring.

Yeah I tend to always return to Ubuntu Mono even on Windows.

I guess it has been that long. (I'm assuming you're referring to the

tennis player.)
