Outsourcing Contributes To IT Salaries' Downward Spiral

The growing number of companies moving information technology work to

low-wage foreign countries has driven down salaries for many IT jobs in

the U.S., and the trend is expected to continue, a salary research group

Outsourcing Deals Are Smaller, But Increasing In Number

The trend in outsourcing deals is toward smaller agreements focusing

on specific business objectives, rather than the full-service,

10-year, multi-billion-dollar contracts that dominated the industry

in the past, a market research group said Thursday.

The state of Indiana (and a couple others iirc) is already taking

action...let's hope PA isn't the last to do the right (imo) thing here

too...
