Why does the DBC change size during use? I was verifying that I was
using the same DBC in three folders and even though they all started out
the same size, they changed during use.

My recollection is removing and adding indexes on a table attached to a DBC increases the DBC size. It's a table, and needs to be packed from time to time.

Tracy: That makes sense, except I am not changing any structure changes
or adding new indexes. Just using the tables. I've noticed this before
but didn't bother because everything was working fine. Now I am
interested because I want to make sure three folders have the same
structures.

If you can possible do so, get rid of DBC's as they will bite your bum. Its
not as easy as it looks. Have the wrong DBC open and you can get a real
mess.

Allen: I am fully vested in DBC's and use Stonefield for updating my
structures. I have never had issue with them. I am reasonably certain
they are the same, I was just wondering why the size changes.

SDT was a huge help to me back when I worked with a frequently-changing DBC-based app. Saved me many hours in maintenance alone.

SDT is a great insurance policy for those who use DBCs.
