I’d probably do it something like this:

lcEmails = ""

Select Clients

Go Top

Scan

lcEmails = lcEmails + Alltrim (email)

If Len (lcEmails) > 150

SendBulkEmail (lcEmails)

lcEmails = ""

Else

lcEmails = lcEmails + Iif (!Eof(), ",", "")

Endif

Endscan

SendBulkEmail (lcEmails)

Basically, send the E-mails in spurts. Unless there's some reason not to,

it's probably better that way anyway - some E-mail services can get cranky

if you send the same E-mail to a lot of people at once.

I suppose you could load the addresses into an array instead. Or you could

create a free table with a single memo field, dump all of the E-mail

addresses into that, use that memo field to supply the address part of the

E-mail, and then delete the free table. I guess it really depends on how

you're creating the E-mail message itself.

Hm. Well, upon looking, character fields have a limit of 254 characters,

but macro substitutions should be more like 8,192. Granted, I haven't

played with macro substitution lately, but have you tried doing this

directly and see if it helps? In other words, like this:

InResult = Send (&blatdoit)

Though, doesn't it error out before it even gets here?

Actually, I'm not sure I'm understanding what the reason for the macro

substitution is at all? I've never used blat at all, but couldn't you just

send it as something like:

InResult = Send("trblat.txt -t" + Lower(Alltrim(lcEmails)) + blatdoit)

Where blatdoit has everything after the addressing (i.e. yank off the first

two lines and leave the rest as is)?

After setting a filter, how do I determine the number of records that

meet the condition

I have a table that has 60 records. I have a field called active which

is logical

If let say 45 records are true, and I set the filter to active=.t. How

do I know how many records would be available (45 in this example)
