Talk about blasts from the past!

Les Pinter wrote me over the weekend and asked me to let my Fox

friends know of a converter he's written to convert VFP forms to WPF.

That's pretty much all I know about it. You can find the links here:

If it actually works that would be awesome. However, I have abandoned

Is this just a screen look or does it also work with code and tables. If its

just the look it would be pointless.

Rebuilding VFP code into C# the way VFP works? That makes my head hurt.

C# is no VFP, but getting the WPF layout is a huge step towards a running system. The model view view model pattern is 33% done.

I've not played with WPF but does it not have a screen builder?

No offense to Les, as his contributions are great, but the WPF screens

don't like much more appealing (if at all) than the VFP forms, imo.

That's just a stylistic comment, and has nothing to do with Les and his

tool.

WPF screens don't 'feel' like Windows applications. Controls are

non-standard, fonts are rendered differently etc.

That's why I went the older WinForms route.

Looks pretty similar to what EPS does, or do I miss something?

It would be lovely if it could generate C# codes from VFP forms directly!

After all, the original Screen Designer & Menu Designer in Foxpro/DOS

are Foxpro code generators!
