I have an application that runs on a server. When I run it I get a "The
publisher could not be verified...." dialog that pops up every time.
How do I get rid of that?

I'm not totally sure but. Did you make a certificate for the server? It may
be you did and as its not verified might cause what you see.

Re: How can I disable the "Unknown Publisher" security warning?
To disable the warning start the Group Policy Editor (Start > Run, type
-gpedit.msc- and press OK) and go to:
-User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components >
Attachment Manager- then set -Inclusion list for low file types- to
Enabled and enter the file types you don't want to be warned about in
the box (for example: -.htm;.exe-).

This worked too. Thanks Fred. I think this is preferred over Roger's
method because I think Roger's method will stop warnings of .exe
attachments (although I don't browse using a windows PC)

Hey folks,
This pops up Every Single Time I run this EXE - but, of courseits an Exe I
keep updating.
I swear that in the past - like on my home PC running Vista - that I turned
this things Off - some security setting in Windows. But, I just can't
remember how to get to that setting.
Anyone have a clue?
It just becomes annoying - coming up EVERY single time I test this app.

Hi Kurt,
It's because the executable is not signed. When you figure out how to do
this please let me know :-)
You can disable this by adding the path into the relevant Internet Explorer
zone.
(probably Trusted sites or Local intranet).

Yeah - I remember the Thread on here a while ago - where everyone was
discussing this topic - re:Signed.
I thought that there was a Windows Setting - some strange and cryptic
abbreviation like - UART. I think supposedly turning that off would stop
this annoyance as well.
If nobody comes back with that particular thing I am looking for - then I
shall try your suggestion Paul.
