For those of you who have used join.me for remote support, how do you
get rid of that set of Join.me icons in the top center of your screen?
I use the square on the top-right side but that just wants to close the
session.

Teamviewer is also pretty good and easy to set up. It's great for networks behind firewalls

Since we're on the subject... I use Beam Your Screen which offers a no
install viewer of your desktop and also you can have them install the
software and you can control their computer. I think this is the best I
have used but it is $375 a year. They just released a Linux version. Yeah!
Crossloop has been my other favorite. A lot cheaper. About $70 per
year. If you can connect peer to peer it is the best, but I have found
that a lot of connections go through the servers which is quite slow!
Crossloop does have excellent customer service though.
So I am Beam Your Screen & Crossloop unless someone shows me something
better.

Mike: I've used LogMeIn too, but found the others easier to use on the
client's end. Crossloop has an un-attended log in for $16 per year. A
customer of mine has an administrative assistance that access his
computer remotely using Crossloop. It's working well.
I have also used Team Viewer which is probably the best. But at $700 +
per year it has to go on my Christmas list.

I have been using LogMeIn Free for 4+ years.
Off on my holidays on Sun so updated everything on my netbook.
You cannot use Thunderbird with LogMeIn, it freezes. This has had 2
mentions in the LogMeIn forum but unfortunately no responses.
Fired up Teamviewer which seems to work OK

TeamViewer has a one-time fee I thought? Perhaps that's a different
