And when some place gets cold next winter, someone else will claim that global warming is a hoax.

Momentary highs and lows are expected with or without climate change. The only thing that shows or disproves *global* warming is long-term statistical patterns averaging the entire planet. Anecdotes about particular weather events, whether heat waves, blizzards, hurricanes, droughts, etc., might be interesting, but they don't have anything to say about climate change due to global warming.

In past messages I have related dozens of long-term trends indicating global

warming. Iowa has not seen such high temperatures ever. Normally it is

comfortable during the summer.

Maybe what you are seeing is CHANGE in climate along the lines of how it has

always happened. Here in Australia we are experiencing cooler temperatures

(except the west coast). The net change in global temperaturs is nill.

No, it isn't. Every measure of global average temperature has shown marked increases over the past few decades.

Not EVERY measure. NASA predicts every year that temperatures will be higher

and amazingly they are. Other organisations are a little less predictable

and it is considered by most actual scientists that there has been

negligible warming since 1998. NASA is a funny mob. In 2007 they said

temperatures had actually DROPPED and then the next year said there had been

rises ever year for the previous 10 years. This is the kind of crap that

discredits otherwise excellent groups. UK Bureau of Meterology annually

predicts that the 'next year will be the hottest year ever in the UK' and is

routinely mocked by record cold. This has happened so often that the British

Parliament ordered an enquiry into just how they could be so wrong so often

and unapologetically so.

This is the reason that so many people doubt Anthropogenic Climate Change.

Instruments measure more accurately today and they also had many in rural

areas in the past. The GW scientists have already admitted to cooking the

books. It is summer - again.
