May I ask why they decided to do it in FPW 2.6a?

Not starting a new project, but I did get a call from an old client I have
not heard from in years, that wants changes to a FPW2.6 program I wrote in
1993. Hope I can find the source ...

" I have yet to run into anything I can't do with VFP and third party tools"
... I can: Get meaningful support. Outside of this illustrious group and a
small collection of like-minded sites out there, there is virtually nothing
out there of any depth. This is not a slam against VFP. I really wish it was
different, but it has become a niche product that is slowly fading from
relevance because it is not supported. Again, this is not a slam. I respect
the community here and the product itself, but it's exceedingly difficult to
find user communities, and for me, that was enough to push me to a different
language where I could actually get help.

Support...
Well when the support was available from Microsoft for VFP it was paid. I
know you can find answers to your questions on this illustrious group and
other collection of like-minded sites faster that you could waiting on hold
for Microsoft.
