Do the following, put a SUSPEND just before the REPORT command, then
call the DEBUG, then click on the report and execute the print, should give u
the error.

Excellent tip! You're absolutely correct that this works. Just suspend
code, then from the development platform you open the report and then
right-mouse and select preview. VFP will usually show you exactly where
the error is.

Great tip, thanks.
When I suspend and open the report and preview, the darn thing runs fine.
But if I run the report from the app, I still get the error.
I even created a new report with only one text box in the detail band and
still get the error
This is very frustrating ...
