Does such a creature exist as a bluetooth Headphone/mic set, but NOT for
a cell phone? I like my Skype, except for the fact that I'm tethered
near the laptop for calls. Would like to be able to pace around. Am
looking for something wireless that plugs in the laptop, and takes over
the Laptop speaker/mic functions but in a headset I can wear.
So far I find tons of stuff for cell phones, but nothing that sounds
like what I'm looking for for the laptop.
Any suggestions?

Vincent,
Plantronics has a line of wireless headsets that connect to PC or
home/business phones. I've had good experience with the voice quality they
provide.
I just picked up a Bluetooth headset from Best Buy for 100 USD that cancels
out the road noise nicely. It should also connects to my VIAO laptop via the
Bluetooth built in.

Here's an alternative: Use a cellphone that support Skype natively!
Android phones do, so does the iPhone.
