I understand (and use) the COPY TO XL5 command but one of my clients is

complaining about the old version of EXCEL. Is there any way to export a

file to a format somewhat newer than 5.0?

Thanks.

You have to do an Office automation. Start up an instance of your client's version of Excel, import the VFP xl5 Output, and save as the current version.
