Anyone have any suggestions for a free antivirus to run on Win2003 server?
I have just discovered that AVG does not run on Windows Server.
I am putting together a few Win2003 Servers for long term development and
testing purposes, as these may only be used occasionally they don't really
warrant the cost of a proper antivirus suite. All my various not-for-resale
antivirus suites have finally timed out.
Rgds,
Nick

IMO you don't need AV. Just keep them off the internet.

I'd say MSE as well, except it only works with XP, Vista and 7. No
server OSes.

Thanks for the suggestions. Current shortlist seems to be:
Avast A1
PCTools Threatfire
ClamWin
Perhaps time to toss a coin and try out one of them.

Used clamwin on my home server which worked (ish). Now running AVG 9 on
Win Server 2003 (Std).

Nick,
Clamwin works OK but doesn't have any realtime checking. You have to run a
scan.
