Hello. Has anyone integrated biometric security devices(fingerprint scanners in particular) with their VFP app? We are looking into doing this, and we're looking for others' experience with the vendors and their respective APIs/SDKs. Thoughts? Thanks.

Hi All,
Been a while since I posted but I've bought a new laptop with a
fingerprint scanner and this though occurred to me:-
What is to stop someone (Law Enforcement or Criminals) lifting my
fingerprint from my laptop and creating a rubber (synthetic) copy of my
fingerprint that they can overlay on to their finger?
Is this possible or is it science-fiction?
If it isn't science fiction then the whole world of biometric security
based on fingerprints is floored and shouldn't be trusted.

hand above the wrist so they could use his handprint to get into a
specific area of the building. ;-)

And, again, Google for it. I hate to break it to you, MB, but that was
a MOVIE. They didn't really laser off the man's hand. It's pretend.
But there are documented exploits in the real world of fingerprint
scanners. I'm not sure any involved lasers, though.
