How to organize emails

Author: Eurico Chagas Filho

Hi

We receive and send several emails per day using the Outlook.

To have several folders and save all of them within outlook

creates a slow operation by outlook.

I could save them to text files or whatever.

I would like to have a program where I could search the mails

and organize them my way.

Any suggestions ?

TIA, E.

Switch from POP to IMAP, and then use an IMAP filter to organize the mail on the

server however you like. Outlook will then reflect your server folder setup.

I use Outlook rules extensively. It saves me a lot of time to have them filed based on content,

subject, or email address for the account. Works great, but it can take time to get set up.

Hi Rick

I do use Outlook rules, but now it's taking a long time

to syncronize folders. And I was looking for something where

everybody would have access to the received mail and send mail

as well from everybody, if allowed.

You could just use pop3 without deleting the email on the server

I'll reiterate what Paul said --- use IMAP. It synchronizes your

folders for you!
