The iphone will use information obtained from the built-in cellular,

Wi-Fi, or GPS hardware to triangulate a location fix for the device.

Depending on how accurate you want it to be, will help determine what

it will use. More accuracy more power use. But as accurate as you

want it(room inside building), not being able to use GPS may be an

issue. Would just have to be something you test out. If you have an

iphone, I can send you a sample app so you can gauge its accuracy.
