Oh. Give me another break. Food prices are rising fast and people need food,

too so why pick out gas to complain about. Who do you think is fixing

prices? There is no one person, government or other entity. It is called the

free market and speculators are taking advantage of supply and demand.

Besides people don't have to buy gas. They can drive less, buy smaller

cars, car pool, take the train. There are lots of alternatives. Go to any

highway at commuter time and you will see 99% of the cars with one driver

and inching along taking hours to get to and from work. To me that is

insanity.

Who are you to decide whether an item is a luxury or necessity? Each person

makes his own choice with his wallet.
