Are you using static or dynamic IPs?

Hey -- I'm baffled by hardware issues --- (so what's new?) -- anyone

willing to offer me clues? WAGs welcome, too, of course.

I have an old house with plaster walls through which wireless signals

seem loathe to pass. As a result, I have 3 Wireless Access Points

positioned strategically throughout. Worked fine.

A couple of weeks ago, I had to reposition the router and a nearby

switch that form the hub of the network. Because of the change of

location, I had to unplug all of the lan cables, move the devices and

plug cables back in. Since then, only one of WAPs gets an Internet

signal.

Usually, it is a matter of powering down all of the devices (including

computers), waiting a minute or two, and powering back up. I have done

this a few times with no luck.

Does it matter which devices one powers first? WAPs, then Router

versus Router, then WAPs? Kids/wife are all unhappy with me that only

one wireless device is working. Anyone have clues to restore my happy

home?

Thanks,

Ken
