Yeah, some weird custom config. Upon login mine says:
Cobalt Linux release 3.0 (Fargo) Kernel 2.0.34 on a mips
and uname returns: Linux cobalt1.triquart.de 2.0.34 #1 Fri Aug 28 19:39:04 PDT 1998 mips unknown

I'm using the VT320W/32 terminal from IPSwitch on Win, which is the best terminal emulation I have seen so far. It enables you to basically configure your own terminal, including hot keys and the like, very neat.
