charitable explanation.

Then we also have to consider the academic tone of the article which
precludes an understanding

of the passions involved when something one cares about greatly (like
one's country) is attacked

repeatedly froma source one would expect to be supportive (like fellow
citizens).

Considering civility has already gone out the window........
Larry, why don't you say "I" instead of "one" when you mean "I"? Why
don't you call a spade "a spade"? If you are going to treat this as a
personal thing just make it plain.

You mean : "Some things get my blood boiling. And it's not my
responsibility, I'm not responsible for what I feel or do.".

Meaning "I have never been able to live MY life the way these people
preach".

> We live in the real world where we watched fellwo Americans diving out of the WTC rather

than burn to death. We do not have the luxury of analyzing everything
with academic disinterest...

and more to the point, if someone is hurting me, my family or my
country, do I really care what

their motivations are?

And again you use "we" when you really mean "I". And I guess you mean
something like "I'm all for law and order, but as soon as someone
touches MY interests then to hell with all that, law and order apply to
other people not to me."

And you finally leave throwing darts against those "fellow citizens"
from which you expected "support". No wonder! I wouldn't give an aspirin
to someone who talks about me the way you do.

Cheers
