Hi Matthew!

Not M$. A few years ago we (a charity I am active in) bought an OEM Windows 95
CD and asked permission to use it on a few old boxes for alternative health
research. It would have cost about $1 for them to say yes, they spent
hundreds trying to explain why they "would be breaking the law" to do that
and offering us a "deal" that would have cost us $40,000!

Checked out the "breaking the law" claim with my congressional representative,
Katherine Harris. She requested a full investigation that took several
months. The report came back that there was no law to stop them from granting
our request, they just wanted the money.
