I'm sensing desperation. Relax. Realize you can't go from 2.6 to 9 overnight. Certainly the "What's New" books would help, but you've gotta realize that if you haven't been coding in *Visual* FP then you're not going to crank out solutions in short order, at least imo. Sorry if that's harsh, my friend! Start reading the HWP books you bought (which ones did you get? I recall you saying you bought some, didn't you?). You could always download the n-tier project I posted on Ed Leafe's OpenTech forum to see how I've designed that solution. Not sure if it'll help you, but you can't beat the price. ;-) How familiar are you with OOP, inheritance, and the like?
