My point is that we can first write to a wx.PostscriptDC, and send that
to a wx.Printout and/or a wx.PrintPreview. I think it would be a worthy
effort, but for a post-1.0 milestone.

Reportlab only handle producing the PDF. It offers nothing in the way of
viewing or printing.
