Not an answer (sorry!) but this reminds me of some DOS BATCH programming
I did back in the 90s where if the ERRORLEVEL returned a problem value,
I launched the Apollo 13 "Houston, we have a problem!" sound clip.
Likewise to your need---to reinforce a certain state to the user!!!!!!
