According to something I came across in Experts Exchange
(http://www.experts-exchange.com/Operating_Systems/Q_21593125.html):
Sometimes the name [of grub.conf] is different. Check for grub.menu or
grub.lst or menu.lst or menu.grub...
In my case (Ubuntu Breezy) it is menu.lst - I was pretty sure that this
was the case but it was nice to see it confirmed
Am taking a look at Knoppix .....
