Were the calls to the same number or to different numbers? And does she have
a phone where the keys are exposed and could be bumped in her purse?
When I had one of those brick type phones with the keys on the outside I
found I had to keep the keys locked all the time as the phone would dial out
and make calls from inside my purse if it were bumped or if it rested
against something in an odd way. Now I have a flip-phone.
IOW, she could have accidentally made 8 phone calls with the phone inside
her purse. That same thing has happened to me.
